About memoryscapes

A memoryscape is a layered composite of memories and people in my life. A deep sense of empathy and connection to the viewer informs my editing and mark-making decisions in an oscillating process of planned spontaneity, allowing each preceding layer to inform the next. I digitally distort snapshot images using an original algorithm informed by visual and numerical data from geographic locations, numerology, and life events. For this project, they are then printed directly to metal and layered with textured mixed media. These explorations into universal human experiences form multiple points of tangency to welcome and engage viewers across all interests, ages, and cultures.
